2021 LSAT Bursary Program

The Black Law Students Association at Osgoode Hall Law School (“BLSA Osgoode”) is pleased to announce that the 2021 LSAT Bursary Program is now accepting applications!

This year, BLSA Osgoode has been fortunate to receive sponsorship from McMillan LLP, Cavalluzzo LLP, and Osgoode alum Emma Baumann in order to fund the LSAT Bursary, which is aimed at increasing the representation of Black individuals in the legal profession by strengthening the candidacy of law school applicants from our communities. As a result, BLSA Osgoode is thrilled to be able to offer FIVE bursaries this year! BLSA warmly thanks these firms and Emma for their support.

At our annual Black History Month Celebration, BLSA Osgoode will announce the recipients of the LSAT Bursary and award them with full tuition towards an LSAT prep course with HarvardReady (approximately $1400 in value). The bursary will be paid directly to HarvardReady, and the student may commence the prep-course immediately.

Recipients of the bursary will be required to enroll in a HarvardReady LSAT preparatory course in the current year. Courses are offered during the spring, summer, and fall.

HarvardReady is a highly regarded LSAT prep course that offers features that improve chances of success such as: 100 in-class hours, small class sizes, free repeats and several proctored tests. HarvardReady also has online options available to accommodate the COVID-19 pandemic. All of these features will be at the disposal of the LSAT Bursary recipient.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be:

1) Students who, self-identify as Black, have successfully completed a minimum of one full year at a recognized university in a program leading to a degree (preference will be given to upper year students)
