Photos: 2018 Know Your Worth Conference

To culminate Black History Month, we held our Know Your Worth: Black Youth Empowerment Conference. This year’s marquee event was a full-day youth empowerment conference for high school students from across the city. We partnered with the Toronto District School Board and invited 250 students from local secondary schools to Osgoode where they were able to participate in workshops focused on inspiring and empowering Black high school students. LINCOLN ALEXANDER AWARD NOMINATION The Honourable Lincoln Alexander ‘54 Award Lincoln Alexander graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1953. He practiced law until 1968, when he entered the political sphere as the first black Member of Parliament. He successfully served four consecutive terms. In 1985, Alexander was appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and was again the first black person to hold this office.
